PECANS: A network for PhD and Early Career Feminist Legal Scholars

PhD students and early career academics (up to 5 years post-doc) who work in the fields of Law, Gender and Sexuality (broadly conceived) may like  to join PECANS: (which stands for Postgraduate and Early Career Academics Network of Scholars). This initiative began as part of the fantastic AHRC Research Centre for Law, Gender and Sexuality and is now funded by the ESRC . This morning’s mass e-mail from PECANS says that we can expect the following over the next two years:

  • 2 international two day workshops: one at Westminster in 2010, one hosted by the Centre for Feminist Legal Studies at the University of British Columbia in 2011
  • early career scholars visiting fellowships to Keele and Kent in the 2009/2010 and 2010/2011 academic years
  • a renovated PECANS website
  • the development of a PECANS committee
