I am appalled at the inhumanity of the stories that are doing the rounds in the press at the moment regarding the potential for cuts in social welfare in the coming budget. I would love to see the Minster For Finance having to live on jobseekers allowance or benefit for a couple of months. Try going through a winter where you have barely enough money to buy the groceries and pay the bills and then try to find the money somewhere to buy a bag of coal.
Is the Minister trying to force us back to an era of appalling poverty? What kind of fantasy land do our politicians live in?
